Surgical ways for removing wrinkles
• Upper blepharoplasty
Upper blepharoplasty involves the removal of excess skin and fat around the eyes. This surgery is designed to rejuvenate the eye area and eliminate the tired appearance of aging eyes. The procedure can also address functional problems posed by extremely droopy eyelids, including impaired vision.
• Lower blepharoplasty
As a person becomes old, he or she starts loosing tissue elasticity in and around the eyes, and as a result, this sagging creates an aged, tired appearance. Lower eye blepharoplasty helps in tightening the regions under the eyes, and by removing the excessive fat and skin it can give a much more youthful look.
This surgery is usually combined with upper blepharoplasty. When combined with the upper blepharoplasty, the results are very satisfactory.
• Brow Lift
Horizontal forehead lines develop due to consistent attempts to elevate the eyebrows and open the eyes.
The typical signs of aging of the upper forehead are development of prominent horizontal forehead creases, prominent glabellar furrow, droopy eyebrows, and droopy upper eyelids. The endoscopic brow lift elevates the descended eyebrow, reduces the fullness of the upper eyelid, reduces the horizontal lines of the forehead, and diminishes the worry lines between the eyes.
• Face Lift
Facelift is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck. A face-lift cannot stop the aging process, but it can help the patient look and, therefore feel, younger. During a face-lift, excess fat is removed, underlying muscles are tightened, the skin is repositioned or stretched back over the face and neck, and excess skin is removed.
A facelift can only be performed surgically; non-surgical rejuvenation treatments cannot achieve the same results.
• Neck Lift
Sagging jowls, loose neck skin may be corrected with a neck lift.
A small incision is created in the crease just underneath the chin and back of the ear. The incisions are easily hidden when performed in these areas. After that, meticulous tightening of the deep layer of muscle and fascia is performed so as to restore the youthful and natural character of the neck and jaw line. A small amount of skin trimming is performed as needed and the incisions are closed.

Magic Lift
There is a less invasive procedure available which can lift, contour and suspend the sagging tissues of the face and neck. The Magic Lift procedure can provide quick and relatively bloodless lifting for patients who may need only little to moderate rejuvenation. The Magic Lift is also been called the Feather Lift which uses monofilament, polypropylene threads with cogs or barbs, called also Aptos threads to lift the underlying tissue and contour the face. The results are improved over time as your collagen encapsulates and "bunches" around the threads causing an even further lifting effect. This procedure is considered much less invasive than traditional mid-face, face and brow lifts, requiring less operating room time and less downtime. The Magic Lift is also becoming popular with younger persons wishing for subtle changes or to possibly delay the signs of aging such as facial drooping.
Botox Injection
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name Botox®, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet near the eyes and reduces the size of angled jaw. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance, but results are not permanent. You can receive Botox injections every 6~10 months to help you maintain the results. If you discontinue treatment, your face gradually will look like they did before treatment.
Studies have also suggested that Botox is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.
Restylane Injection
Restylane is the first and only FDA-approved dermal filler made of a biodegradable non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. Upon being injected beneath the skin's surface, restylane adds natural volume and lift to smooth wrinkles and folds. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in all living organisms and provides volume and fullness to the skin.
The procedure is non-surgical, and its effects are virtually instantaneous. The "water loving" nature of the hyaluronic acid molecules in Restylane allows it to bind many times its own weight in water. As hyaluronic acid begins to degrade, each molecule binds to more water which helps maintain its volume for about six months.
Chemical Peel
Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) are used for this purpose.
Chemical peel is especially useful for the fine wrinkles on cheeks, forehead, and around the eyes, and the vertical wrinkles around the mouth. |
